LIME TO THE RESCUE

Limes are a good source of potassium, vitamins A, B, C, and D, calcium, magnesium and antioxidants.


So already, I can tell what you’re thinking ‘Limes are AMAZING! How am I not having limes every day?” And we’re thinking that too, but….


… all of those amazing vitamins and minerals are not the main reason we use lime in our tonics. 


The main reason we LOVE lime is that it is a natural acidifier. A WHAT? A NATURAL ACIDIFIER. In other words, lime can be used to naturally acidify foods which makes them naturally shelf-stable.


Have you ever wondered why you only find certain foods in the refrigerated section of the grocery store and others on the shelf. Or why something like pickles or sauerkraut can sit on the shelf in the grocery store, but need to be refrigerated once you open them.


Well, the answer is acidification.
